Rebates will not be paid for appliances that have been de-listed by ENERGY STAR® as of the purchase date or mislabeled as ENERGY STAR.
The Residential Rebates Program offered by FirstEnergy’s Pennsylvania electric companies will only issue rebates for appliances on the current list of qualified ENERGY STAR rated appliances as of the purchase date. The current list can be found at energystar.gov. ENERGY STAR periodically removes appliances from their qualifying list, and it is the responsibility of the customer and appliance dealer to verify current ENERGY STAR status.

By participating in these energy efficiency and peak demand reduction programs, customers agree to allow their utility to retain ownership of all Capacity Rights which refers to the demand reduction associated with any energy efficiency and peak demand reduction measure for which incentives were provided by the Company. Your utility will aggregate these energy efficiency demand reduction attributes into the PJM capacity market with proceeds being used to offset the program costs.
