Why choose a Geothermal Heat Pump?

Geothermal heat pumps (GHPs) are among the most efficient and comfortable heating and cooling technologies currently available, because they use the earth's natural heat to provide heating, cooling, and often, water heating. Please work with your contractor to complete and submit your rebate application.

Qualifications: 

Must meet full load efficiencies based on system configuration.

Must be certified by AHRI.

Rebate available for conditioning of domestic living space only.

Water-to-Water Closed Loop:      EER ≥ 16.1 and COP ≥ 3.1
Water-to-Water Open Loop:          20.1 EER and 3.5 COP
Water-to-Air Closed Loop:            EER ≥ 17.1 and COP ≥ 3.6
Water-to-Air Open Loop:               21.1 EER and 4.1 COP

Which Geothermal Heat Pumps Qualify?

To be eligible for the rebate, the geothermal HP must meet all minimum requirements.

By participating in these energy efficiency and peak demand reduction programs, customers agree to allow their utility to retain ownership of all Capacity Rights which refers to the demand reduction associated with any energy efficiency and peak demand reduction measure for which incentives were provided by the Company.
